F Smith on Eastcastle Street, the creative haven and show space is host to Paisley’s audio visual exhibition and installation featuring ancient Paisley shawls from the reserve collection together with contemporary product from Paisley’s new emerging makers community growing from the town’s unique social political and economic place.

Origami Workshop with Misty Concepts

Specialising in handmade origami paper light fixtures, Misty’s range extends from hanging pendants to string lights, all designed and created by designer, Mel Watt. Fascinated about the beauty of creating something so unique out of simply paper, Misty Concepts was launched. Misty Concepts has been supported through the Invest in Renfrewshire InCube programme, designed to launch and grow creative retail businesses in Paisley.

Patterning with Paisley Pins

Referencing the world renowned & much loved pattern that is at the heart of Paisley’s heritage, Paisley Pins combine their existing skills from extensive experience of working in the graphics industry with new techniques they have developed to produce a range of Paisley Pattern pins and brooches. With a contemporary twist, Paisley Pins will be hosting a creative pattern workshop to coincide with the town’s bid to be the City of Culture 2021.

Luxury Leather Demonstration with Charles Laurie London

As part of Bentleys celebration of luggage-making skills, of craftsmanship and the beauty of leather, Charles Laurie London will be hosting a leather and hand stitch demonstration. Alongside Scottish Leather Group, Charles’ work will tell the unique story of Paisley through expert craftsmanship. This event is free and open to the public.
